Get To Know Me

Jose Antonio Avina II, a passionate individual whose journey led him from California State University Sacramento to becoming an integral part of downtown Sacramento’s heartbeat. As the proud owner of a small box gym, Jose brings his love for fitness to the community, transforming lives one workout at a time.

Beyond the gym walls, he dedicates his time to the soccer fields, imparting the invaluable lessons he learned from the sport back to the community. But Jose’s commitment doesn’t stop there—he is also a dedicated Captain in the Marine Corps Reserve, a role he has embraced since 2007. Starting as a determined Lance Corporal, he climbed the ranks, proving his mettle and earning the esteemed title of “Mustang” after completing Officer Candidate School in 2014.

Now, as a Captain, Jose collaborates closely with senior military leaders and government officials, offering insights into the vast capabilities of the United States military. His role extends beyond the battlefield, guiding decision-makers with a wealth of experience and dedication. Jose Antonio Avina II is not just a gym owner or a Marine Captain; he is a beacon of commitment, service, and leadership in both his local community and the broader realm of military excellence.
